There are many intentions to come to the internal martial arts with in the beginning and they change and grow and evolve over time as well. Initial intentions that once were change as one changes in life's journey. There is no destination, no ambition, no goal. Those fade away as one is immersed in the arts. To do the arts simply for the love of connecting to one's spirit is wonderful!
To open to God "Divinity" within and without while standing, sitting, or in movement is the "true intention" for self realization in martial arts. To end the war within of pain and sufferings thereby allowing deep healing within through letting go. To end internal conflicts, accept oneself completely, all of who your are and make peace with oneself is greatness in martial arts. Not skill or power. Martial arts means "the art of war." More specifically, "the art to let go of the war within oneself." Only love endures in timelessness.
